Our History
The Discipleship Institute was established in 1995 as a result of the need to disciple the thousands that were being saved in the prisons where Rock of Ages Ministries has labored since 1977. The discipling of these individuals was accomplished by way of the printed lessons that are designed to saturate the student with the Word of God. As a result of the lessons producing such positive fruit in the lives of the prisoners, we expanded our outreach. We began to offer these same lessons to our military personnel, and to local churches to be used as new convert material for homework or even as Sunday School curriculum. For the last several years, the Discipleship Institute has been blessed to have over 5,000 students each year write and tell us that they were saved as a result of doing these lessons. Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Online Study
Once again, because of the growth of the ministry and the impact God’s Word through these lessons are making, we are expanding again. Now these lessons that have made such a difference in the lives of thousands are available for you to study at your own pace, free of charge on the internet. These lessons are available for use on smart phones, tablets, and computers. This makes them accessible by the internet anywhere in the world.

The cost of mailing these lessons to the thousands of prisoners that are incarcerated is enormous, but worth every cent. Would you consider making a donation to help someone study God’s Word, that does not have the convenience of the internet, and that has to rely upon the printed page to study God’s Word? Presently these lessons consist of over 26,000 questions in a true or false, and multiple choice format. Plus we are still developing more lessons. They are not designed to be difficult, but to help the student to learn and retain God’s Word.
